How does the Katanox Payment process differ from existing VCC/CC bookings?

Katanox bookings are made via WHR CRS and are directly sent to your PMS. If Katanox Finance is applicable for a booking, this will be indicated in the reservation. The payment is processed via a direct bank transfer to your account. Unlike VCCs received via a GDS, no action is needed on your end to collect the money.




How will Katanox guarantee incoming bookings?

For each booking made via Katanox Payment, a full deposit of the entire booking amount will be held in an escrow bank account, which is managed by Katanox Financial Technologies and governed by EEA, UK, and US financial regulations.




When will I be paid?

The payment time depends on the payment condition linked to the reservation. If the reservation is prepaid, the hotel is paid for when booking. If the booking condition allows payment on departure, the hotel is paid after the guest has checked out. All payments are made directly via bank transfer.




How long does it take to receive a payout?

Katanox pays directly via a regulated escrow bank account, ensuring the booking is guaranteed. Payment is made directly to the bank account you provided. Like any bank transfer payment, it will depend on your bank account provider how long it takes for the payout to be received in your actual bank account.




What will happen in the event of a no-show or late cancellation?

If a no-show or cancellation occurs, Katanox will process a payout according to the reservation's payment conditions. If the conditions state a full stay charge for no-shows or cancellations after the cut-off date, Katanox will process a payout for the entire booking amount. If only the first night can be charged for no-shows, Katanox will pay out the amount for the first night.




How will commissions be reconciled and settled?

If Katanox Payment processes a booking's payment, it will instantly deduct any applicable commission. When the booking is deposited into your bank account, the intermediary commission and the Katanox Payout and Reconciliation fee will be deducted from the net booking amount.




What information is required to enroll my property in the Katanox payment platform?

To create your Katanox account, provide your name and email address.

We're a licensed financial service provider, which means that after creating your account, we'll ask you to give us some information about your company as part of our regulated "Know Your Customer" process. This includes providing details and documentation regarding your legal entity, yourself, and your company's management structure.

Why is this information required? What is the process, and how long does it take to get enrolled/onboarded?

Financial entities legally require this information to allow us to provide you with financial services, such as payments. You will be onboarded when you supply the necessary information and documentation. The Katanox team can assist you whenever needed to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Your money is always safe as it is held in an untouchable escrow account before being transferred to your bank account. As a financial institution, Katanox must follow strict regulations to ensure the safety of your money and information.
