Basic concepts

Workspaces

Katanox is a unified platform with two workspaces, each with a distinct user focus:

Trading Workspace – Facilitates direct collaboration between accommodation suppliers and travel buyers.
Finance Workspace – Manages payouts and reconciliation for bookings.

A Katanox workspace acts as a container for one or multiple companies. As a user, you can access multiple companies, simplifying the user experience in complex hospitality hierarchies. When you log into Katanox, you’re logging into your workspace.

Team Management

Each Katanox workspace has its own team, one for Trading and one for Finance. These teams often represent groups of users working together within a company, but not exclusively. Team management ensures that users have the right level of access based on their responsibilities. You can manage teams in the Settings panel.

Roles

Roles define the actions that users can perform in a workspace. Whether it is reviewing bookings, adjusting rate plans, or downloading financial reports. Users can only have one role per workspace, depending on their tasks in the Trading or Finance workspace. The available roles are:

Administrator – Full access to workspace settings and financial management.
Contributor – Limited access, based on assigned responsibilities.

Partners

Katanox connects supply and demand in hospitality, meaning different types of partners use the platform:

Accommodation Suppliers – Provide inventory for direct distribution.
Travel Buyers – Purchase accommodations and manage bookings.

Trading Workspace

Katanox Trading enables accommodation suppliers and travel buyers to connect and collaborate directly. Through the Katanox Trading Workspace, both parties can manage partnerships, streamline bookings, and optimize distribution—all in one unified system. Learn more about Katanox Trading.
