Account structure
The finance workspace is designed to provide hotel chains and franchisees with a transparent, secure, and flexible way to manage financial operations across multiple properties and legal entities.
Companies
In the finance workspace, a company is the highest-level account. Each company represents a legal entity—such as a franchisee, management company, or operating business. All financial operations, permissions, and reporting are managed at this company level. To access the finance workspace, each company must complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) process to verify its legal status.
Properties
Properties (such as individual hotels or locations) do not have standalone finance accounts. Instead, each property is assigned to a company. This means all financial data for a property is managed and controlled through its parent company’s account. Companies can have one or many properties, depending on your organization’s structure.
Property Groups
For organizations managing many properties, the finance workspace allows you to create property groups within a company. Property groups make it easy to assign access and manage permissions for teams overseeing specific sets of properties, such as all hotels in a region or under a particular brand.
User Roles and Permissions
User access is determined by their role and the scope assigned by the company administrator. Admins can grant users access to the entire company, specific property groups, or individual properties. This ensures each team member can only view or manage the information relevant to their responsibilities.
Example
Suppose your organization operates several franchise companies—each as a separate legal entity (e.g., “Hilton DE” and “Hilton NL”). Each company account holds all financial data for its assigned properties. You can further group properties (e.g., “Hilton North DE”) for regional management and assign users accordingly. This structure ensures that financial operations are streamlined, secure, and adaptable to any hotel group or franchise model.
